Edgewood Consulting Group

Your information in our hands

Privacy policy of Edgewood Consulting Group. In force from September 10, 2026.

Who is writing this?

Edgewood Consulting Group. We are a consulting firm in sales and marketing strategy with an analytics practice, and our clients are makers of packaged consumer goods and the retail chains that stock them. Letters reach us at 1719 State Route 10, Suite 226, Parsippany, NJ 07054. This policy governs two things: this site, and the correspondence, whether by email, telephone or letter, that Edgewood directs at businesses while looking for and serving clients.

Why did you contact me?

Because your job appears to sit near the problems Edgewood solves: category management, shopper insights, sales leadership, or net revenue management. Our messages go to work mailboxes. Once in a while we may pick up the telephone or post a letter to your office. We approach someone only when there is a plausible reason our services might bear on their responsibilities, and a single word from you ends it.

What do we collect?

Details about people in their working capacity, and about the companies that employ them. Nothing about private life. Specifically:

Sensitive categories of information, such as health, finances, beliefs or origin, are not something we gather or wish to receive.

Where does the information come from?

What do we use it for?

Nothing in our emails reports back to us. Whether you opened a message, or clicked in it, is not something we can see.

How do I stop emails?

Answer any of them and say you want no more. Any wording will do. On the telephone, say it to whoever called. Edgewood acts on the request promptly, never later than ten business days after it arrives. Your name and mailbox are then written to our suppression list, and every future list we work from is screened against it, so a record of you arriving from a fresh source will not put you back in front of us.

Who do we share it with?

Nobody buys or rents it from us. It is never passed to another company for that company's marketing, and never used to aim advertising at you. It is visible to three kinds of party only:

How long do we keep it?

While it still serves one of the purposes above. Stale records are cleared out. Client files stay with us for the life of the engagement and afterwards for whatever further period bookkeeping rules and the law require. Suppression entries remain in place for as long as Edgewood writes to businesses at all, since deleting one would defeat its purpose.

How do we protect it?

Only staff who need a record can open it, and sensible technical and organisational precautions surround our systems. No safeguard is absolute, and we make no claim that ours are.

What can I ask of you?

You may ask what Edgewood holds about you and how it obtained it. You may have inaccuracies fixed. You may have the record erased, with one exception: the suppression entry stays, because it is what guarantees your wish not to be contacted is respected. Depending on your state, statute may grant further rights, among them a right to know, to correct, to delete, or to opt out of a sale or sharing, neither of which Edgewood engages in. Exercising a right will never change how we deal with you.

Put a request in an answer to one of our emails, submit it through the form on our main website, or send it by post to the address on this page. We may verify a request by checking it originates from the mailbox we wrote to. Replies arrive within the period the applicable law sets. Someone you have authorised can act for you.

Do you collect information about children?

No. Everything Edgewood does is aimed at businesses, and we do not knowingly gather details of anyone younger than eighteen.

Where do you operate?

Edgewood works from New Jersey and its outreach goes to businesses across the United States. The suppliers named above may handle records in whichever countries they run their operations.

Will this policy change?

Possibly. Each revision replaces the date shown beneath the heading, and the text on this page is always the current one.

How do I reach you about privacy?

By letter to Edgewood Consulting Group, 1719 State Route 10, Suite 226, Parsippany, NJ 07054, by answering one of our emails, or through the form on edgewoodcg.com.
